Free version and unlock

Armamentarium is free to download and can do everything from the start. Only how much you create is limited. A one-off purchase lifts these allowances for good.

The allowances

The free version contains every feature: building lists, datasheets as a PDF, export, import, the showcase. It only counts what you create:

So a Combat Patrol, a kill team or a Spearhead does not count against the army lists, only against its own allowance. An imported list counts like a newly created one.

The counter and a reached allowance

At the top of the window the Free edition counter shows how many lists you have created and how many the free version allows. In the options under Unlock, Scope shows the state of all five allowances.

Once an allowance is reached:

  • New things stay locked: New list carries a lock; a click on it leads to unlocking in the options. Importing a further list is locked as well. Area A shows the notice Limit reached.
  • What you have stays: You can still open, edit, export and delete your lists. Nothing is lost.
  • Deleting frees a place: Delete a list and you can create one again.

The showcase works a little differently: taking over an army list creates entries beyond the allowance too, and what lies above it is locked. More in the chapter The showcase.

Unlocking

The unlock is a one-off purchase in the application: no subscription, no advertising, no further purchases. It lifts all five allowances for good. What you have already created stays as it is.

  1. Open the Options and choose Unlock on the left. When an allowance is reached, the locked button leads there as well.
  2. Choose the purchase button. It names the store and the price.
  3. Confirm the purchase in the store's window. The application is then unlocked; the counter disappears.

You pay through the store you got the application from. Payment, receipt and refund are handled there; the application sees neither payment details nor your account. On Windows that is the Microsoft Store. Price and contracting party are under Legal.

Restoring a purchase

After a device change or a new installation the application does not know about your purchase yet. Choose Restore purchase: in the options under Unlock, or in area A while an allowance there is reached. The application asks the store whether your account owns the unlock and unlocks again. You pay nothing for this.

  • There is no purchase on this account: The store knows no purchase under the account that is signed in. Check that you are signed in to the store with the account you bought with.
  • The store cannot be reached: Buying and restoring need a connection to the store. Try again later.

The button stays visible after the purchase too. You only need it after a device change. Where the application keeps your data and the unlock is in Your data and offline.
