Spearhead
Spearhead is the box mode of Age of Sigmar: each box is a finished army. As with a Combat Patrol, you pick it instead of building it.
What a Spearhead is
In the application, Spearhead is an edition of its own beside Age of Sigmar and has a catalogue of its own. You download it on the first start or later under Options › Data sources; the edition can be chosen as soon as it is on the device.
- Fixed list: what the box contains is set. There are no points and nothing to configure.
- The first row of every box, Battle Traits, carries the rules of the army itself.
- A limit of its own: the free version counts Spearheads on their own, apart from your other lists.
Choosing a box
- Choose the edition Spearhead at the top of the army lists. If another game system is active, switch it under Options › General first.
- Choose New list at the bottom. The layer Choose Spearhead opens.
- Choose the Grand Alliance and, in it, the Faction. Below them its boxes stand as cards, each with its units.
- Boxes no longer on sale appear only once you tick Show boxes no longer in print; they wear the Legends badge.
- Click the card you want and choose Apply. The application creates the list and opens it.
- The Grand Alliance: Order, Chaos, Death or Destruction.
- The faction within the Grand Alliance.
- Also shows boxes no longer on sale.
- The faction's boxes, each with its units and model counts.
- “Apply” creates a list from the chosen box.
The fixed list
A Spearhead list behaves like a Combat Patrol: you can view it, print its datasheets as a PDF, take it into the showcase and delete it, but not edit or export it. What it looks like is shown under The fixed list in the Combat Patrol chapter.
