Warhammer - The Old World

In The Old World a list is made of categories whose share of the points limit is capped. The catalogue brings the limits, the application checks them.

The edition

The Old World comes with this edition:

  • The Old World

You download its catalogue on the first start or later under Options › Data sources.

Composition and percentage limits

The catalogue and the list order the units by the categories Named Characters, Characters, Core, Special, Rare and Mercenaries.

  • Percentage limits: For some categories the catalogue sets a maximum or minimum share of the points limit.
  • Minimum share: Where the list falls below it, the validation reports an error, not just a notice.
  • No detachment: The Old World has no detachment, no enhancement and no Warlord.
The main view with the open list “Greywood Herd” in the game mode Combined Arms: below the points the notice that Core is under its minimum share, below it the roster validation with its errors; in the catalogue the categories Named Characters and Characters.

Game modes and allies

When you create a list you choose a game mode; without one the list cannot be created. It decides which limits apply. You can change it later in the list settings.

Allies stand as a child force under the list, where the game mode allows them. How to add one is shown in the chapter Forces.

Text styles

As text, a list comes in these styles; the first is the default:

  • Compact
  • Detailed
  • Simple

Compact writes one line per unit. What each style writes is in the chapter Text export.
