Warhammer - Horus Heresy

In Horus Heresy you build a list out of the detachments of a force chart. It can also carry side forces of other factions.

The edition

Horus Heresy comes with this edition:

  • 3rd Edition

You download its catalogue on the first start or later under Options › Data sources.

Force chart and side forces

  • Detachments of the force chart: They stand as child forces under the list. You add them with Add force.
  • Side forces: They stand beside the built force, with a faction and a game mode of their own.
  • No enhancement, no Warlord: Only Warhammer 40k has those.

How both work is shown in the chapter Forces.

The main view with the open list “The Seventh Cohort” in the game mode Unrestricted/Collection: above the list the points and the button “Add force”, below it the units by categories such as Allegiance, High Command and Armour.
  1. The open list with its game mode, its points, “Add force” and its units.

Points and stat lines

  • Points: In the text export they are called what the catalogue calls them: Point(s) instead of pts.
  • Stat lines: The catalogue knows several kinds of profile, for example for infantry, vehicles, Knights and Titans. A unit can show several of them; the datasheet shows each as a table of its own.

Text styles

As text, a list comes in these styles; the first is the default:

  • Detailed
  • Simple

What each style writes is in the chapter Text export.
